As of April 2008, Hidalgo County Commissioners Court passed the implementation of a Food Handlers Course. A Food Handlers Card From Hidalgo County Health & human Resources Dept. is the only form of card being accepted. Classes will be given in English and Spanish. Space is limited so make plans to go sign up as soon as possible. No individuals will be able to work in a food service establishment if they do not have the HCHHS Food Handlers Card (No Exceptions). EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. fee of $10.00 dlls per person. Classes will be held at 1304 S. 25th St. Edinburg, TX. 78539 "Conference Room". In order to attend class you would need to Register before attending Class. No walk in allows. No Children Allowed in Class. No food or Drinks Allowed in Class.
